Milwaukee, Wis. (Jan. 28, 2016) – James Wallner, director of new business development for Motion Products, Inc. (MPI), Neenah, has been appointed to the board of directors for The Masterpiece Ltd. The announcement was made today by Gary Messing, board president.
“Jim brings a wealth of experience in concours d’elegance events,” said Messing. “He and MPI are known internationally for their expertise in preparing vehicles for concours competitions. We are pleased to have him join our leadership team.”
Wallner has been associated with the Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance since 2014 serving as a judge.
He has been associated with MPI for 15 years. He was appointed director of new business development in 2013. From 2008 to 2013 he was operations manager for MPI, an internationally known facility that performs top restoration work on rare or classic sportscars.
“I’m pleased to be associated with one of the top concours d’elegance competitions in the Midwest,” Wallner said. “The Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance takes place in a beautiful venue – Veterans Park on Milwaukee’s lakefront – and has a terrific track record of showcasing outstanding vehicles for the public’s enjoyment,” Wallner said. “I look forward to working with The Masterpiece Ltd. board in executing a first-class event this year and the years to come.”
The Masterpiece Ltd., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization hosts the Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance. Proceeds benefit children and families. Since its inception 12 years ago the event has raised more than $200,000 for charity. The designated charities in 2016 are Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and Meta House.
The 2016 Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance, a judged competition with vehicles selected to appear and compete for awards, is set for Aug. 28, 2016, in Veterans Park overlooking Lake Michigan. Kicking off the weekend, on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, will be the Show & Glow by the Lake, also in Veterans Park.
