Milwaukee, Wis. – Aug. 13, 2014 — The Milwaukee Masterpiece is pleased to announce that emceeing duties for the 2014 Concours d’Elegance award ceremonies will be handled by John Krewson, senior editor Road & Track magazine; Mike Jacobs, news anchor at TODAY’S TMJ4, the NBC affiliate in Milwaukee and an auto aficionado, and Tom Schultz, writer, author, historian and track historian at Road America since 2000. Previously he served eight seasons with SCCA Pro Racing as a press officer with the Trans Am He has written three books and has had hundreds of magazine articles published. He is recognized worldwide as an expert on automobiles and race cars.
Two hundred and twenty-four vehicles will be judged in 29 classes, nearly a 15 percent increase over the number of vehicles that were on the show field for the 2013 Milwaukee Masterpiece. A first in class will be selected for each class and all entries will be scrutinized for Premier and Prestige awards including the Chief Judge’s Award, the Chairman’s Award and Best of Show.
Award presentation schedule:
- 1 p.m. – Class awards presented with emcee Tom Schultz
- 2 p.m. – People’s Choice voting ends.
- 2:30 p.m. – Premier and Prestige Awards presented with emcees John Krewson and Mike Jacobs
BYOB (Bring Your Own Blanket)
Attendees on Sunday are invited to bring a blanket for seating on the lawn to enjoy the awards presentation. No seating will be provided at the venue. Pick up something to eat from Paulie’s Barbacoa, or a dessert from Nino’s Italian Bakery, and a beverage from the Delafield Brewhaus and enjoy the show.
Tickets purchased online will be held at Will Call at the event on the lakefront.
Gates open at 10 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
Parking is $5 at the Milwaukee County Parks lot near Veterans Park. Enter via Lagoon Drive off of Lake Drive.
Proceeds from the 2014 Milwaukee Masterpiece will benefit three local charities: Autism Society of SE Wisconsin, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and Meta House.
