The 2019 driving tour on Aug. 3 will take us northwest from the lakefront to the home and garages of local car enthusiast and collector, John Dohmen.

We will enjoy a leisurely drive northward along Lake Drive and Milwaukee River Parkway through the North Shore suburbs. From there we will travel through Thiensville and Cedarburg in Washington County. Cedarburg is home to many unique small shops and a variety of festivals throughout the year which draw many attendees from Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Although there will not be a festival in progress on the tour date, those interested in exploring Cedarburg may do so on their return to the lakefront or on another date at their leisure.

Our destination is just northwest of Cedarburg on the edge of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. There John and Heidi will welcome us to their renovated farmhouse and John’s garages containing an assortment of vintage and current sports cars for our enjoyment. Lunch will be catered by Atlas Barbecue before we return to the lakefront.

The cost of the tour will be $50 per person.

A support vehicle will be available in case of any mechanical issues.
