Food and beverage choices to fuel car aficionados at 2016 Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance

Attendees of the 2016 Milwaukee Concours weekend in Veterans Park, Aug. 27 – 28, will have a variety of food and beverage choices to boost their energy levels as they enjoy the vehicles and classic boats on the showfield.

The food and beverage vendors include:

  • Delafield Brewhaus – craft beer
  • Milwaukee Pretzel Co. – warm, freshly baked Bavarian-style pretzels
  • Crush Wine Bar – Andretti Wines and small cheese plates
  • T-Best Kettle Corn — Kettle Corn
  • Oak Creek Lions Club — burgers, brats, chicken sandwiches, loaded baked and sweet potatoes, roasted corn.

Bottled water also will be sold at various locations on the grounds.

Show & Glow by the Lake on Saturday, Aug. 27, is a casual car show in Veterans Park and open to anyone who wishes to show his or her car, motorcycle, truck or boat. Those wishing to show a vehicle can register online by Aug. 12 or register the day of the show. Gates are open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance on Sunday, Aug. 28, is a judged competition for vehicles that have been invited to participate by the Concours Committee. See nearly 200 classic and vintage vehicles that represent the best of automotive history and design. Of special note for Sunday will be a grouping of rare Ferraris, each with concours pedigrees including Pebble Beach awards. Celebrity judges on Sunday include Donald Osborne, noted appraiser and featured contributor on the “Jay Leno’s Garage” series on CNBC.

Also new this year for Sunday is the Youth Judging program featuring young people from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee who will select their favorite vehicle with the guidance of seasoned judges. The program follows the guidelines of Hagerty’s Youth Program and is sponsored by JWS Classics and John Splude, who is serving as head judge for the youth judging event.
