1937 Packard Convertible Sedan Dietrich Featured at Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance

1937 Packard Convertible Sedan DietrichThe St. Clair family of Tulare, S.D., will be showing their 1937 Packard Convertible Sedan Dietrich. All original with the exception of a color change from blue to black, this car features 473 cid-12-cylinder engine and manual transmission.

1937 Packard: An Easy, Comfortable Ride

The Packard 12 for 1937 introduced a re-balanced mechanical design starting with a massive “x” member, with a boxed frame up to the to the radiator cradle, the strength of this carried the stresses of the “safety-flex” independent front suspension, power hydraulic brakes and a power clutch, all assisted by anti-friction bearings throughout the steering system. The use of low pressure 825×16 tires improved the ride by 30 percent. This car provided the driver and passengers with the ultimate in an easy, comfortable, smooth and quiet driving experience. This car has won Classic Car Club recognition, winning first place in primary, senior and premier classes.

Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance Car Show

The 2016 Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance includes a casual car show in Veterans Park on Saturday, Aug. 27, called Show & Glow by the Lake (open to the public 10 a.m. to 3 p.m); the Style & Speed Social, an evening of camaraderie and silent auction on Saturday evening at The Milwaukee Club in downtown Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance, Sunday, August 28, in Veterans Park. All events are open to the public.
