Milwaukee, Wis., (April 29, 2015) — The Milwaukee Masterpiece is pleased to announce the return of Concours Motors and Porsche Club of America – Milwaukee Region to its group of valued sponsors for 2015. The announcement was made today by Leon Flagg, chairman – The Masterpiece Ltd.
“The Milwaukee Masterpiece is so very fortunate to have the support of Concours Motors and PCA-Milwaukee,” said Flagg. “In addition to financial support, Concours Motors provides immeasurable in-kind help in the form of a meeting room for our committee meetings, call center support and on-site vehicle assistance during our events. Likewise, the Porsche Club helps us financially while also promoting and participating in the Club Saturday event. Several of our board and committee leadership roles are filled by PCA members.”
“Beautiful cars are part of Concours Motors’ DNA,” said Karl Wuesthoff, president. “That’s why we are drawn to support this amazing event which attracts vehicle collectors and enthusiasts from many parts of the U.S. and beyond to support a worthy cause.” Wuesthoff is also a director of The Masterpiece Ltd.
“Our members look forward to Club Saturday at the M,” said Donna Daufenbach, PCA Milwaukee region president. “We enjoy the camaraderie of showing our cars in a group in Veterans Park as well as the interaction with other car clubs.” Daufenbach serves as registrar for the Milwaukee Masterpiece.
Concours Motors is Milwaukee’s premier BMW, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen dealer. Concours Motors operates three locations in the Milwaukee area – its headquarters at 1400 W. Silver Spring Drive, Milwaukee, a BMW store at 5990 N. Green Bay Ave., Glendale, and Concours BodyWorks at 1711 W. Florist Ave., Milwaukee. Concours Motors opened its doors in 1955 on Oakland Avenue in Milwaukee as a Volkswagen franchise. Five years later the operation moved to its present location on Silver Spring Drive.
The Porsche Club of Milwaukee was formed 55 years ago and includes nearly 500 members who participate in autocross, drivers education, tech sessions and social events year round. Visit the region website for more information.
The Masterpiece Ltd., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, hosts the annual Milwaukee Masterpiece Concours d’Elegance; Club Saturday at the M, a casual car show; and the Style & Speed Social, a social event on the evening preceding Sunday’s Concours d’ Elegance.
Proceeds from the weekend events will benefit the Masterpiece’s three designated charities – Autism Society of Southeast Wisconsin, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and Meta House. In 2014 The Masterpiece Ltd. distributed more than $37,000 to the three organizations. Since its inception, more than $187,000 has been distributed to charitable organizations.
Now in its 11th year, The Milwaukee Masterpiece will unfold Aug. 22 and 23, 2015, in Veterans Park on Milwaukee’s lakefront.
